Need 4 people to hold my shed down on the 12th between 2:00 and 4:15 PM, $20/hr each $20/hr each (Dross Hollow)
The regional updraft is scheduled for June 12th, 2:00 to approximately 4:15 PM. My house has anchor bolts. My shed does not. I was supposed to get the clamp kit installed in April but the contractor ghosted me and the Municipal Gravity Office said they can't fast-track residential permits this close to the event.
So I need four people willing to stand at the corners of my shed and hold it down for about two hours. 10x12 standard garden shed, wood frame, shingled roof. Weighs plenty when gravity is cooperating but during the updraft it gets ideas.
Last year I did it alone with ropes and cinder blocks and it held, mostly, but the shed lifted about 18 inches off the foundation and came back down crooked. The door hasn't closed right since. Not doing that again.
Requirements: you must weigh at least 140 lbs. Bring gloves. Wear shoes you don't care about, things get muddy when the pressure shifts. I'll provide folding chairs and water for the downtime between surges. The updraft isn't constant, it comes in waves, so there'll be breaks.
$20/hour each, cash. If it lifts off anyway we split the insurance deductible. Just kidding. Kind of.
