Junior Developer, ThresHold Platform Team (yes, this site) (Grelmire)

ThresHold is hiring a junior developer for our platform team. Yes, this is a job listing on the site you're currently reading. We are aware of the optics. We are also aware of the irony that if our search function worked properly you would have found our careers page instead of this listing. It doesn't, and here we are, and that's one of the things you'd be fixing.

We need someone comfortable with front-end rendering, search indexing, and the category page sort behavior that arranges listings in an order that is technically chronological but does not correspond to any calendar system our team has been able to identify. It has been this way since launch. The original developer is no longer with us. His code is.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years development experience
• Willingness to inherit an undocumented codebase written by someone who apparently did not believe in variable names longer than two characters
• Must not be superstitious, or must be willing to develop a professional tolerance for coincidences in the deployment logs

Compensation is competitive for the Grelmire market. We are a small team. "Small" means you will speak to our CTO daily, including weekends when the search index does the thing.
