Licensed Plumber Needed, Residential, Something Going On With the Shower (Will pay fair rate, just need an honest quote)
Looking for a licensed plumber for a residential job in Dulphar Heights. Standard bathroom: toilet, sink, shower. The shower is the issue.
It works fine in the morning. Around 2pm it starts running on its own. Not a drip, not a leak, full pressure, both handles in the off position. Runs for about 40 minutes, then stops on its own. The water is warm. It smells like cedar. I want to be clear that we do not own anything cedar-scented. We've checked.
Also the pipes under the kitchen sink hum sometimes. Not vibration, like a melody. My wife says it's always the same tune but she can't place it and honestly that part bothers her more than the shower thing. I can live with the humming. I cannot live with the water bill.
Would like someone who can come take a look and give us a straight quote. Last guy we called hung up when I described the cedar smell, which I felt was unprofessional. The guy before that came out, put his ear to the wall for about a minute, said "yep," and left without explaining what "yep" meant. We were charged $75 for the visit.
If this is going to be a problem for you just say so upfront and save us both the trip.
listing-5538@threshold.wv, evenings are best. We're usually sitting outside after 2pm anyway.
