Bookshelf (reclassified as "structural anomaly" per O.O.P.S.)

Pine bookshelf, 6 feet tall, was perfectly fine for three years. Last month during the routine quarterly home assessment, the inspector said it no longer qualifies as furniture under Section 14.3 of the Household Object Classification Act because it has "begun to exhibit load-bearing characteristics inconsistent with its filing."

I don't fully understand what that means. He said if I remove it, part of the ceiling might come down, which was not something the ceiling was doing before the shelf was there. It came from Bohxavn. It was $60.

Still holds books fine. Just also apparently holds up my kitchen now.

You would need to bring your own support solution for my ceiling. I am not an unreasonable person but I'm also not paying to have my kitchen re-supported because a $60 bookshelf got ambitious.
