New markers on the Fenwick-to-Dross corridor -- official or not? (Glumwick)

Glumwick / 5 days ago / void navigation + best practices

Took the Fenwick-to-Dross route this morning and noticed new markers on the walls starting about a third of the way through. They're different from the standard yellow transit reflectors -- these are smaller, slightly blue, and placed at a lower height. They don't match anything on the current void transit chart.

Anyone know if these are part of the corridor update they've been talking about or should I be concerned?

Those are the new supplementary markers from the route update that went live last week. They were supposed to distribute updated charts before installation but obviously that didn't happen. The blue markers indicate recalibrated drift points -- basically spots where the corridor has shifted slightly and the route has been adjusted. They're a few inches lower because they're referenced to the new spatial baseline, not the old one.

TL;DR: official, safe, follow them if the yellow ones and the blue ones disagree. The blue ones are more current.

Great, thank you. Follow-up: there was one section where there were blue markers on BOTH walls pointing in opposite directions. What does that mean.

That means don't linger in that section.
