Are you supposed to tip your prophet? (Pellwick)
Got my first prophecy reading yesterday. General life forecast, nothing specific. She gave me the reading and then just kind of looked at me and I didn't know if I was supposed to pay more or tip or what. Ended up saying "OK thank you" and leaving. Now I feel weird about it.
Is there a standard?
For a general forecast, 15-20% is standard. If it's a mandated disclosure (workplace, insurance, etc.), no tip expected -- those are billed through whatever institution required it. For walk-in readings, tip. They notice and it affects the detail level next time. I'm not saying the prophecy changes but the delivery gets a lot more vague if you stiff them.
I've never tipped and I've been going to the same prophet for six years. Her readings are fine. I think the "it affects the quality" thing is an old wives' tale that prophets spread, ironically, without predicting that people would see through it.
Going to split the difference and tip next time. She did tell me something about my parking situation that turned out to be extremely accurate so it feels wrong not to.
