Municipal Code 47-B Notice: Class 2 residential containment lapse, 89 Janthorpe Lane (Janthorpe)

Per Municipal Code 47-B, this notice serves to inform neighboring residents of a Class 2 containment lapse at 89 Janthorpe Lane, Unit 3.

Nature of lapse: gravitational (localized, interior only)

Duration: ongoing since approximately May 29

Affected area: kitchen and hallway

Status: stable but unresolved

The Municipal Containment Office has been notified and assigned case number MCO-2026-1847. A field assessment is scheduled for the week of June 9. Until that time no action is required by neighboring units. Per code I'm advising that residents of units 1, 2, and 4 may experience mild gravitational bleed-through in shared walls, particularly in load-bearing areas.

This is a Class 2 event. Class 2 means localized, non-spreading, and not requiring evacuation. I am fully compliant with notification timelines. I would also like to note for the record that this is not related to the modifications I made to the bathroom in April, regardless of what the building manager has implied.
