PSA: The thing at Crambleside and 4th is back and it's bigger this time (Crambleside)
If you take Crambleside through to 4th you already know. If you don't take that route, keep not taking it.
For people who moved here recently: every year around the start of inversion season, something shows up at the intersection of Crambleside and 4th. Nobody agrees on what it is. The city has not acknowledged it. O.O.P.S. sent an inspector two years ago. The report was a single page containing the word "no" in progressively larger font sizes.
Here's what I can tell you:
- It's bigger this year. Last year it was roughly the size of a delivery van. This year I'd say mid-size building.
- It does not block traffic exactly, but traffic does not want to go through it, and I respect that instinct
- It hums. The hum is new.
- It is warm on the south side and cold on the north side and I don't know why I checked but I did
- DO NOT make eye contact. I know it doesn't have eyes. I know. Don't make eye contact.
If the city addresses it I'll update. They have not addressed it in eleven years so I would not hold your breath. Take Fenwaller to Stemble if you need to get downtown. Yes it adds time. You'll live. That's the point.
